Where can I find graphs pertaining to the French Revolution?
Q. Hello! I am looking for data that I can make into a graph and/or graphs already made pertaining to the French Revolution. My assignment is to make many graphs about this topic. What does changing phases and shifts and/ or schedules mean pertaining to law enforcement?
Q. I have no idea, need to know, please and thank you! My friend changed phases and I think he said shifts and I work EMS so I was not sure what he meant but I did not want to sound stupid.

A. Okay, most police depts have three shifts. They generally run 8am-4pm (morning shift), 4pm-midnight (evening shift), and midnight-8am (night shift). There's actually some overlap so that you don't have shift change periods where there is no patrol coverage. So for example, some officers on the morning shift will actually work 7:30am-3:30pm, others 8-4, and others 8:30-4:30. Some depts have a fourth shift that runs 7pm-3am or 8pm-4am - this puts extra patrol officers out on the streets during the peak crime times (late night/early morning). In many depts, officers are expected to rotate shifts. That means that for a couple of weeks they will work the day shift, then they move to the evening shift, and then the night shift.
