Can I get a portable dishwasher with low kitchen sink faucet pressure?
Q. I want to get a portable or countertop dishwasher for my new house which is the second level of a older house. Having said that, the water pressure, especially out of the kitchen sink faucet is very low. I'm wondering if I could still use a portable dishwasher with low pressure and/or if this matters for different types. Obviously I would prefer a model where this wouldn't make a difference. So far, I've looked into the 18" Haier and the 17" Danby. I've also seen a couple larger floor units by GE. So, my question is, will a portable dishwasher work with low kitchen sink water pressure?

A. Sure, I run a well, low pressure, and has no effect. So go for it.

Does a portable washing machine cost me more in utilities?
Q. I have a portable washing machine that hooks up to my sink faucet, and I have noticed that even though I use my A/C, hot water, and electricity as much as my friends, I am spending much more per month on utilities than they are. Is this because I am using water from my sink faucet instead of a water line? If not, can you explain what might be causing my bill to be so high? Thanks. My basin is small but just as small as my friends' basins. The only difference is the way we are getting the water. I have noticed that the clothes are very warm when they come out, even though I have it set on warm/cold and I only use the cold water from the faucet.

A. Good first answer...you may be comparing apples to oranges, both fruits, but not similar. You'd have to compare basin size...how many loads are you doing for the same amount of clothes. You may be indeed washing more often without realizing it because your machine holds fewer clothes. If similar then check water settings: hot, warm, cold. Does yours do a cold rinse exclusively? Mine does...only cold water rinse. If you also have a warm water rinse, there's extra hot water. Could be your friends may be doing more cold water washes as well, once again less hot water. Most people underfill their machines with clothes. In Japan where water is extremely expensive, they add quite a few more clothing items and then the water level… [cont.]

A. What nav system is it? Most gps manufacturers have online user manuals. Check out the support page on the manufacturers website.
